The problem with any cap that has character is that the character is fixed. Monday at work and Saturday at the concert ask for different things — and nobody buys ten caps. The answer is simpler than it sounds: pull the patch off, stick another one on.
How the velcro system works
Some of our models carry a velcro base on the front panel. The Hayper Hyde patches — more than a hundred, photographic, embroidered and leather — snap on and swap in a second, no stitching, no tools. One cap, a drawer of patches, and every day you decide who you are.
Why it's not a gimmick
Interchangeable patches have always existed in the military and biker worlds: the patch tells which unit you belong to, what you've done, which side you're on. Hayper Hyde takes that logic into streetwear: the patch isn't decoration, it's a statement. Swapping it isn't changing style — it's changing the message.
The radical route: your own word
If no patch says what you want to say, there's the extreme option: STENCIL, the model with no patch at all — just one word, hand-painted straight onto the denim. It can be customised on request: message us on WhatsApp, tell us your word, we paint it. The most minimal cap we make — which is exactly why it's the most personal.
The smart gift
One practical note: a patch is the perfect gift for someone who already owns a Pitt Conrad. It costs less than a cap, it's personal enough, and you can't get the size wrong.
